National Collection Of Plant Pathogenic Bacteria

The NCPPB is an internationally recognised collection and has been maintained by the Central Science Laboratory (CSL, York) for over 40 years. We house virtually all known bacterial plant pathogens and act as one of the largest and most frequently used collections in the world for the deposition of reference and type strains of plant pathogenic bacteria. Our experience in maintaining this comprehensive collection of pathogens of temperate and tropical crops, plants and plant produce enables us to offer a wide range of high quality related services.

The NCPPB lies within the United Kingdom National Culture Collection (UKNCC) and is a member of the European Culture Collections' Organisation (ECCO) and the World Federation of Culture Collections (WFCC).
